A technology, an unused room, people with ability. Follow an AI workspace concept through the questions we would ask.
Research concept and thought experiment · Not a completed project or client result
01 / THE ATTRACTIVE IDEA
It sounds like a project. It is not yet a reason. Remove the building, the equipment and the launch event. What need remains?
02 / THE SMALLER QUESTION
Suppose a team assembles a decision brief from scattered information every week. Who does it? How long does it take? Where do errors occur? Without that baseline, “efficiency” is only an adjective.
03 / THE USEFUL EXPERIMENT
Use an existing space and the necessary cloud tools to test one complete workflow. Follow the inputs through to human review. Count usage costs, rework and responsibility, not just output speed.
04 / THE RIGHT TO CONTINUE
Do people keep using it? Is time really saved after review and maintenance? Who owns the next stage? The evidence may justify expansion—or a redesign.
THE DECISION ROOM
Open a question to see what we would look for next.
A visit creates interest. Repeated use is stronger evidence of need. Identify a user who brings their own task: a quotation, a research brief or a process that needs improving.
Evidence: real tasks, frequency of use and existing alternatives.
Record the time and quality of the original workflow before comparing the new one. Faster generation may require more checking. Model costs, human review, maintenance and rework belong in the same calculation.
Evidence: before-and-after records for comparable tasks, including full costs.
Space, industry problems, technology, teaching and capital may come from different people. Translate support into commitments: what each party provides, when it is available, who decides and who carries responsibility.
Evidence: named responsibilities, contribution terms, decision rights and exit arrangements.
Set conditions for continuing or stopping before the experiment begins. Otherwise, every weak result can become a reason to invest a little more. An idea needs room to change when the evidence does.
Evidence: agreed decision criteria and a date for the next review.
A PRINCIPLE WE RETURN TO
In allocating capital. In testing technology. In building something together.
